Leadership style speech

Hi, I’m preparing for my Level 2 leadership style speech and not sure what to talk about. For those who have completed this level, what topics would you recommend? I’m not sure if the speech has to be centered around work or not. TIA

Hey everyone, we’ve got a new moderator!

Hi everyone!

Dropping in to say hello 🙂 I have stepped in to moderate our r/emptynesters subreddit.

I have enjoyed this sub as a participant and saw that it had become unmoderated. So I answered the call when Reddit mods were looking for a sub mod. I did so because I’m an empty nester and find helpful information and conversations on Reddit. Didn’t want to see this sub get shut down and wanted to keep it safe for everyone.

If anyone else is interested in joining me as a mod, please DM me. I have one request before you do so though, please be passionate about why you’re here.

This is your space as well, so I want to hear from you:
What has worked well in this community?
What changes would you like to see?

I’m here to keep things running smoothly and would love your help in making this community active and safe. As empty nesters, this could be a vulnerable stage of life and I want to protect that.

Feel free to share thoughts and ideas in the comments. Excited to see where this takes us!

Help me find a Black/African American version of this Lego

I want to find a Black/African American version of this Lego. I have googled but didn’t see anything like this one. If not this one, I would settle for a Black/African American female Lego. It has to be a small one though. I searched Etsy as well. TIA.

Edit: wow!! Thanks to all who provided help! My question was not intended to get some of y’all all worked up 😂 😂

Need to supplement income with at least $400/month

I work in clinical IT, good salary. I work from home, no small kids so my evenings are free. Need to supplement my income with at least $400 per month. I tried Door Dashing but don’t think that’s for me. I have thought about becoming a Notary. I have a friend who is in real estate and wants to take someone on as a Notary part time that would fit my schedule. Any other suggestions?

Switching to moderate hikes

Hope this type of post is allowed. If not, I will remove it.

Not looking for medical advice.

I’ve been hiking for over 10 years and love it. The past 2 years I have experienced leg and hip cramps mostly on descents.

Background info: I’m a 52 year old female, in the best shape of my life…outside of crappy knees and hips I guess! I use electrolytes on all of my hikes and stay hydrated. I use trekking poles. I strength train 4 days a week, hike on weekends. I have incorporated mobility exercises in my gym workouts. I have an Ortho referral and will be making an appointment.

I feel like I’ll have to stop doing hard/strenuous hikes. I live in southeastern USA, no true peaks however enough elevation and terrain changes.

Has anyone ever dealt with having to change their hiking style/mechanics? If so, was it more of a mental shift (outside of medical care)?

My hiking circles have been become quite competitive and performative, which I truly dislike and I’m making some changes. I solo hike more now and have recently become a trail ambassador at a local national park.

Of course, I know that this is more of an ego thing but hearing the thoughts of internet strangers may give me insight. TIA.
