First time scoring 8 runs without a homer since Julio was a rookie. Happy totals later but man this was a fun one to be at the ballpark for. 🔱

Cole Young grew up in Pittsburgh as a Pirates fan, was his first game back at PNC Park and hit the go ahead HR.

It’s been about a week since I was able to sit down and watch a full game, much less score it. Loved watching our pitching dominate today and Dom’s DP was amazing.

As someone who loves watching good pitching, this was a fun one.

I’ve been using the Chalk & Ink scorebook for my in person scoring and love it. Just using various printouts for at home. I decided to give the Chalk & Ink digital scorecards a try. This was my second game using it, will be using them more often. Some pretty cool features on the site.

This scorecard does have pitch tracking available, I tried and gave up partway into the 2nd inning, it’s just too much for me to pay attention to consistently lol.

Hadn’t been able to keep score in about a week, this was a bit of a wild and fun one! I’m starting to think about how I want to note ABS overturns, especially consequential ones - there was one that I didn’t make note of in this game and I’m regretting it, ha.

I haven’t been able to keep score since I was at the Diamondbacks series, this was definitely a fun one to keep up with!

So excited to capture Colt Emerson’s first MLB hit, a 3 run HR in the 8th inning!

It will never not be fun scoring a game like this, especially against the Astros.

Even though my team was on the losing end, I was grateful to witness and record Emerson Hancock’s start last night. Career high of 9 Ks before this game, had 14K/0BB through 7 IP last night.

Notes: The scorer originally did not give an ER to Muñoz even with a RBI on the 1B, looks like they’ve updated it in the MLB box score. I also did not record an error for Pasquantino in the 6th, I credited Cole Young with a 1B and decided not to change it with the official scorer’s decision. The MLB scoring changes twitter account believes it will be changed to a hit.
