Is it better to voice out your resentment or stay silent?

A few months ago, I had a falling out with my best friend. I confronted him over a tone-deaf statement he made, offered constructive criticism, and he resorted to abandoning me instead of accepting his mistake and moving forward. Almost a year later, he messaged me (only on the day he was moving to a different city), saying he was sorry and couldn’t face me in person because he knew he had made me resent him through his actions. I have built up so much resentment, feeling a deep betrayal. I was slowly forgetting it until he messaged me, and now it feels like the resentment that has been lying dormant has awoken again. I feel like I’m dying holding everything inside and I just want to let out everything. I don’t know whether I should text him back and let out my bottled-up frustrations and resentments, or just let it go and leave that part of the past.

How do you know if an avoidant friend is sincere with their apologies or is just wanting to be freed from their guilt?

My friend made a tone deaf statement almost a year ago. I called him out on it and instead of accepting my constructive criticism and moving on he abandoned me instead. We were friends for a few months, and we would always be open to talking to each other about our frustrations. He was almost like a sibling to me. But then he decided to ignore me simply because I called him out and he only apologized after he moved out of our city. I returned the favor and ignored him too. He could’ve apologized at any time during those months in person, considering that we live near each other. I am puzzled whether he means the apology or he just wants to be exonerated from his guilt.

Small candle fire accident please help

I feel beyond paranoid and stupid. I had a chair with a blanket draped over it and the blanket accidentally touched the lit candle on the corner table beside it. I was able to smother the fire less than 5 minutes because of how small it is. I am beyond terrified and I never had phobia of fire before, but now I definitely do. I was gonna sleep but now have a fear of burning in my sleep. I took the burned blanket and chair outside the house. I left my fan on in the bedroom and positioned it directly towards the open window. It's been an hour and the smoke is definitely going away. Is there anything else I should do to get rid of the smoke? I feel paranoid and scared.
