Looking for a pedal (ideally budget or even better, multi fx) to run my entire mix through for tape distortion/clipping effect

Recently I recorded a track through my cheap USB mixer's interface. I didn't hear the clipping on my output but very quickly learned that I had clipped the interface into oblivion.. But I loved it. The extra layer of noise washed over the whole mix really took it to the places I wanted it to go. But obviously the digital clipping isn't the most tasteful and I'd like to replace it with something put in my FX loop that has a little nicer of a crunch to it, but still won't colour the mix too aggressively. What options do I have here? I know I could use a tape distortion plugin but I need to run it in a no laptop live rig. I'm considering trying the tape delay preamp in the Zoom multistomp. Any other recommendations

Permanent nerve damage, how late is too late?

I've been wondering about this recently. I've probably been B12 deficient for much of my life, something like 13 years. Lately I have been thinking about how much I want to get off my nortriptyline (30mg daily) which causes me a lot of side effects. I tried twice in the last 4 months but the pain is just far too much. My most severe nerve pain is in my teeth and is godawful. I can't help wondering if it will ever heal.

I was doing B12 shots for around a year but have decided to take some time with them very spaced out to help recover from side effects and focus on rebuilding my cofactors and raising vitamin D as I can't keep pushing and getting sicker rather than better.. I've had no relief at all from the nerve pain in my teeth and while i did have a short honeymoon period after beginning shots with heightened energy and improvement to my chronic migraines, this very quickly descended into the nightmare that has been the last 6 months.. It kind of feels like I won't be getting anywhere with nerve healing although I understand with the length of deficiency time is imperative.

Has anyone else had remission of seriously long term symptoms (8+yrs) particularly nerve pain/damage?

Pushing further, recommendations for magnesium dosing?

I want to raise my D levels as I have low levels that have not been taken seriously by doctors alongside chronic health issues, particularly migraines, joint issues and nerve pain. Initially it was 33nmol/L and I managed to raise it to 57 over around 6 months with their paltry 800ui supps. I'm looking to aim for 5-6k daily, is this a good dose? And how much magnesium (elemental) should I be aiming to take alongside it? I already think I have quite low magnesium from a year of treating a concurrent B12 deficiency. I'm really trying to avoid any wake up symptoms as I have enough pain as is. Any recommendations? Thanks

Garcia - Always Late

Is there an existing recording of him doing this song in full? The little clip from the pizza tapes is such a tease.. one of my favourite teases at least..

Taking a break

Anyone else had to call it for a while during their recovery? I am around a year into shots, I was committedly EOD hydroxo for at least the first 6 months and things have gotten more and more spaced out in the last 6ish because I have just been to goddamn sick to keep pushing forwards, getting worse and worse. I think it's likely down to cofactor depletion but in spite of my continual adjustments I'm still not able to tolerate my shots. Recently I took the longest break in a while, a whole month, and upon taking my shot i noticed a significant worsening in my reflux and bloating and I just can't continue pushing through and hoping things will get better. I feel so terribly sick and horrible that I am struggling to eat even small amounts of food on a daily.

I think I must listen to the bell tolling and give myself the opportunity to recuperate for a while. After all, this is a marathon not a race.. I have been so goddamn sick with acid reflux, bloating/abdominal pain, worsening EDS type symptoms, sunken bloodshot eyes, the list goes on, worse and worse the further I go into treatment. I've tried endlessly with cofactor balancing and nothing is making it any more tolerable.

I think my plan is to ease off and allow my cofactors to build back up a little. I also want to push harder on my vitamin D and try to give that further correction as I think this could be both holding me back and worsening a lot of my side effects too.

Just wondering if anyone had a similar experience in their recovery, any pointers, or input in general. Thanks

Has anyone recovered while on tricyclic antidepressants for nerve pain such as Amitriptyline, Nortriptyline, etc?

As above. I've been trying to lower my dose for a while but the pain is unbearable

Wet feeling in throat after shots

I've been dealing with GI issues and reflux for a while but it seems like every time I get my shot, without fail, it seems to worsen and I get this weird wet sensation at the back of my throat that is incredibly distinct. Has anyone else experienced this?

Please recommend me some podcasts with a similar vibe

I need more stuff to simulate social interactions lately. I love macabre stuff, true crime, paranormal, occultism, weird history, I'd be open to war history stuff, generally open to a lot.

Mostly looking for some good hosts and a slightly less formal vibe, with macabre subject matter. I'm sick of trying podcasts and barely being able to stomach the annoying radio DJ comedy humour hosts, or the opposite end where they spend 20 minutes talking about how terrible the subject matter is as if I didn't know.. Who's yer favourites.

The only other podcast I regularly listen to is behind the bastards so strike that one off!

Sunken eyes worsening during treatment

Does anyone have experience with this. I can't seem to figure it out. My best guess is high potassium intake without enough sodium causing cellular dehydration over a long period, but I don't know. It just keeps getting worse and it's very stressful and uncomfortable. My eyes feel very dried out and have sunken back enough that my eyelids are loose around them.. They have also been getting progressively more bloodshot in recent months, with the inner corners also sinking back and getting pretty red raw. Does anyone have any ideas

Persistent weakness, high heart rate, dizziness etc during heatwave.

I haven't taken a shot in a couple of weeks and even still I seem to be getting really messed up here. Even doing all I can to stay cool I have been persistently dealing with the symptoms above, my leg muscle cramps have worsened, my heart rate is real high, feeling faint and lethargic all the time, it's really kicking my ass. I try to ensure I am keeping good electrolyte intake. Is it likely the combined strain of B12 treatment and the heat putting me down so hard?

Still having horrible side effects and intense drop after a shot almost a year in - cofactor deficiencies?

Trying to figure out what my best course of action is from here and honestly considering taking a break for a while as I'm struggling to bear the load B12 shots are placing on my body, and finding it impossible to find the right combination of cofactors to keep me relatively okay..

My biggest issue aside from the general muscle weakness and lethargy that has been more prevalent since starting shots is really heavy GI issues. From the moment I started shots (eod) I noticed that I seemed to struggle more with acid reflux but at first this was mostly just an odd nausea and globus sensation.

I went through the winter really lacking on my cofactors for reasons I won't bore you with. This really peaked during January where the GI issues really became all consuming. Perpetual horrible soreness, reflux, throat issues, bloating, you name it. I had been working my way back onto cofactors and at this point started supplementing methylfolate again. After seeing various posts on here about folate deficiency and people taking all the way up to 15mg daily of methyl i started titrating upwards. I also began to space out my B12 shots more, from EOD to every couple, to around once a week sometimes less, over the last 5 months or so.

The higher folate doses seem to help, certainly with energy but also with the GI issues, but nowhere near enough for me to be near comfort with my stomach, its really unbearable. And now that my B12 shots have been spaced out to around weekly, sometimes a pinch longer, I'm REALLY noticing the drop when I have one.

The last two times I've took a shot I've noticed an immediate response on the day and particularly the day after. My stomach pain and reflux comes back heavy very quick, and I have this very telltale nasal drip and sore throat that is really horrid. I'll start to slightly improve in the days following and then by the time I hit my next shot it comes back terrible again..

Feeling rather at my wits end here. I'm banging like 10-12.5k methyl daily across multiple doses and it seems to help but as soon as I take another shot I'm right back on my ass. I take ungodly amounts of potassium, solid doses of magnesium, b complex, multivit with trace minerals.. I even started supplementing extra zinc and B2, sometimes extra Vit A after reading someone who was struggling with similar side effects to me (GI distress, dry and very bloodshot eyes with prominent veins, small scale random bruising). But I'm getting little in the way of positive developments, the GI issues start to improve slightly but as soon as I do a shot it's back to the bullshit :(

any suggestions would be much appreciated.. also, would it be dangerous for me to continue supplementing folate if I continue to further slow down my shots? I know folate uses up B12 but frankly where I'm at currently, it seems as though the B12 is putting more pressure on folate than the other way around..
