Laid off as an SDET last month with 7 years of total experience

Hi,

I have 7 years of total experience working as an SDET and my last CTC was 25 LPA. I got laid off last month from a PBC. It has been difficult getting interviews from product-based companies. I attended a few interviews as well but messed them up because I was a little nervous.

I got an offer from PwC for 19 LPA with a 90-day notice period, and they’ve asked me to join within a week. I really feel disappointed that I had to accept being lowballed, but at the same time I don’t feel like I have many options other than taking it or waiting for another better opportunity.

I was preparing DSA and planning to move towards the dev side, but the layoff completely took away my confidence and I’m feeling the lowest of lowest now.

I was really hopeful that i would get some opportunity with a small PBC where the switch to dev might be easier. Just wanted some advice what can i do.
