Stalin this, Trotsky that. What if ZINOVIEV led the Soviet Union?
Of all the original Bolsheviks, I hardly see anyone ever talk about how a Zinoviev-led Soviet Union would fare, despite how at times he eclipsed Trotsky as the main opposition voice to Stalin post-Troika, and probably the person with the most hand in Stalin's consolidation of power. Which is weird, because frankly, Zinoviev's path to power is easier to imagine and more realistic than the likes of Trotsky or Bukharin.
