Ft. “the park where aki yells at angel” and “the building where reze kicks the snot out of denji”

(People online said that alley is THE alley but it looks nothing like it irl… including it anyways lol)

Brought excess of a controlled medication

Making a new thread. I just arrived in Japan with Vyvanse and my experience couldn’t have been easier- I followed the guidance people gave me here, flashed my paperwork and the pill bottle, and was out in 30 seconds.

However, I’m now realizing I did the math wrong on my paperwork, and I’m going to have two or more extra pills. I didn’t apply for an export permission slip.

…Should I just dispose of the extras (if so, how)?? Should I try and expedite an export form while I’m in Japan which it sounds like they don’t do under any circumstances? I leave on the evening of the 24th.

I apologize for the back to back threads on this but searching this sub isn’t bringing anything up, and the time difference is making it difficult to contact the embassy in my home country :(

Examples of successful group rebrands?

Are there many groups that have taken a sharp, sudden pivot sound or identity wise that have become more popular as a result? I feel like most of the time it either flops, the company reverts back to a more familiar concept next CB, or both.

I’m not talking about groups that evolved their sound over time (Twice, SVT, Gfriend). I’m talking the Ven Paras of the kpop world: the random CB that looks and sounds totally different from anything else they’ve done.

These are the only examples I could think of:
- Minx -> Dreamcatcher: I think this is the most well known and drastic example??
- Loona’s girl crush pivot: As an orbit, I’ve never thought So What was that intense of a concept change, but they did get way more recognition as a tough girl crush group after #…
- Wonder Girls band concept: I don’t even know if this counts because this was after 3 years of inactivity and they always had a retro sound lmao

Follow-up question: if most of the time it doesn’t work and alienates fans, why do companies do it??

Declaring Vyvanse?

Hey all, I’m traveling on the 12th with 14 pills of Vyvanse for ADHD. My application to import them from the Narcotics Control Department (tokyoncd@mhlw.go.jp) was approved, I printed the PDF they sent me, and I still have the doctor’s note on my phone if needed at customs.

My question here is: when I land in Japan, how am I declaring this? I had a Yakkan Shoumei back in my study abroad days for my antidepressants (though that was for the quantity I was bringing in, NOT the medication itself), and I don’t remember ever having an opportunity to present it, nor did anyone ask. I saw some threads saying “yes, check that you’re carrying prohibited items during paperwork”, but my anxiety brain is telling me that’ll get me arrested. Should I print my doctor’s note just in case, or is the paperwork enough?

Anyone who brought Vyvanse into Japan, your perspective and experience would be greatly appreciated!
