Would like to hear your opinions💭 on these , also have this in fully black (but that one needs to be properly captured )

And any constructive criticism I could implement in the future. I

I did sew them so please be kind( but honest if you’d like)

One of the 2 styles in a collection

Trying to style the first ever jacket(NOXAR) I sewed.

I would like to hear your thoughts 💭 on the jacket as well as opinions on how to style them.

I can’t figure out how to style the blue especially for the life of me and I am not fully happy with how I’ve styled them in the photos

[Back story (for anyone interested): Started the concept/theme last year August-November🍁 ; journey to Virgo ♍️- the sky is not the limit

The hardest part of this piece was the spine🩻, at first I tried learning 3d modelling to make metal spines but the size was too small to be feasible so I spent 2 months thinking of a concept that flowed with this jacket🧥 , read some books 📚 and discovered the stitch🧵 and slash✂️ technique . ]

NOXAR Jacket ( read for context)

From my 2️⃣piece collection: a journey to Virgo ♍️

A lil back story: this is my first ever jacket ; very daunting project to make. I had made the prototype last year August🍁 and was wondering how to incorporate the spines 🩻.

On the last slide I was learning and drafting 3d 🖨️modelled spines ( tried learning that really difficult) but couldn’t find a ⚖️ for the clothes without making it too small to create. Then 2 months after rigorous research 🧑‍🔬🔬. I had an epiphany💡:

I had a 📕 on fabric manipulation and discovered 🪏⚱️:

Stitch 🧵and slash ✂️a technique

applied to the back to create the spine of Noxar .

Made one for me and my girlfriend👩‍❤️‍👨 and posted the different design iterations

First ever completed Jacket I sewed (read for context)

Hopefully it is clear enough to not get taken down ( my camera’s not very good 🥲, did some edits to make it clearer ).

Started the concept/theme last year August-November ; journey to ♍️; the sky is not the limit

The hardest part of this piece was the spine🩻, at first I tried learning 3d modelling to make metal spines but the size was too small to be feasible so I spent 2 months thinking of a concept that flowed with this jacket. Then I had an

EPIPHANY; I have a bunch of fabric manipulation books📚perhaps somewhere in one of them I could find what I was looking for , voilà c’est ca 💡;

stitch and slash (the technique I used for the back, in case anyone is wondering)

Fabrics; 100% boiled wool, suede, yyk zippers, shoulder pads, embroidery threads and stainless steel charms, viscose satin for the lining and I can’t remember the fabric name for the red part on the ribs. Knitted ribs for the cuff

*Edit: thank you all for all the kind words(srsly), your kind words and support are so inspiring I’d share more of my works to come and this is just the base line, after all the sky is not the limit, and it never was.*
