Is a sub 30 5K possible?

Hi all. I'm about to take part in my first official 5K this weekend, a Memorial Day race. I have only been running for about 3 months just building my aerobic base up. I usually run anywhere from 3 to 5 miles at a time several times a week. My usual pace is anywhere from 10:30 to 11:15 a mile depending on the day. I was thinking I would kinda like to get a sub 30 minute finish. I have done a few 5K distances on my own and finished them about the 32 to 35 minute mark. Is it doable or am I just being crazy and overthinking it? Mostly this race is to.honor fallen friends I lost in Iraq, but also to start getting into race environments because I'm signed up.for a half marathon in February. First goal is to have fun, but is a sub 30 reachable? Thanks all.

Craft stores are underwhelming

Hiii. I've recently gotten back into cross stitch after eons away from it. I went to the closest Michaels and tbh, I was very under impressed with the selection of supplies. I rely on the bus, and Hobby Lobby is a long commute for one store. Are there any recommendations for craft stores with good selection, maybe a locally owned one. I live near downtown and not sure if online is my only real option.

Manually entering runs

So I had my small easy run this morning. Problem was when I was moving my running belt around to stop it, I accidentally deleted it. I thought about manually entering the distance, but got a message that it could mess up total distance and achievements, etc. Will it really mess all that up or is that just a stock warning? It was only 2.5 miles so not a huge deal, but I kinda wanted the overall distance noted.

This may not go anywhere but I'll give it a shot. Is there anyone interested in going to see the Mandalorian move, or the new Steven Spielberg movie coming out? I'm a 47 year old trans woman and not sure I want to brave the theatre alone. Not looking at it as a date type thing just trying to make connections with fellow geeks.

My first 4 mile in years

This is my first 4 mile long run in over a decade. Been running for about 2 months now. I'm very pleased with the pace increase without pushing for it.

First run of the month. First run switching to mornings because it's just too hot in the afternoon after work. I'm impressed. I'm ready for the month of progress. Are you?

Hi everyone. I have a few questions and marked this NSFW because it is a bit sensitive medically.

I was on Spiro for about three months. And after my doctor appointment the other day I was taken off Spiro because I am switching to injections. During the last month or so my gut health and bowel issues were a bit intense. I thought it was just a byproduct of Spiro so I just kept an eye on it. Now that I am 3 days off, my stools are almost watery. My doctor said she hasn't heard of extreme issues with the medicine and I have an appointment with my PCP in a few weeks. But is not having solid stools normal while on Spiro and transitioning off of it? I know there are a lot of other factors that can affect it, and I'm monitoring it. But I'm starting to wonder if I should go to a quick care. I'm training for a half marathon now, it's in February, and want to catch any issues early. I'm starting to get a bit concerned about it. Thanks for any input.
