Progress! 62.45kg->58.25kg, March-August. 4.3kg/9.48lbs loss

4’8”. Just here to share my progress pics! I have lost 9.48lbs or 4.3kg.

I was drinking alcohol every night. Although I’d walk nearly 6 miles a day to and from work, go indoor bouldering, and 3x a week gym, I wasn’t happy with how I looked.

Since then I’ve climbed 3 mountains, gone on very long walks and hikes, stopped drinking every day, ran a 10k and been in a slight deficit. Eating more healthy using more east Asian dishes and ingredients in my diet.

I’m not happy still but seeing the side by side has massively helped my self esteem. It’s been a long road and I’ve not stopped drinking completely like I wanted to, but I’ve definitely cut down to maybe once or twice a week and nowhere near the amount I was drinking before. I’ve almost stopped smoking (only had one cigarette today) and I’m feeling much more healthy.

Slow and steady wins the race and we will get there! Baby steps are just as important!! 😁 I am so proud of my progress!!

Is it worth doing Ingleborough Caves on the way up to the summit?

Hi all, about to do Ingleborough for my last Yorkshire Peak in 2 weeks.

I just want to know if it’s worth doing the caves, as I’ll be going past anyway and I’ll be there for about 10am. I’m used to long walks so a bit of a detour isn’t that bad. Can I just get entrance to the caves as I aren’t doing the trail per se, I’m doing the full circular but it doesn’t give just the caves prices online. Anyone else done them in the way up? Cheers x

Lunches for a fiver?

Times are hard and I forgot to make my lunch today. Looking for somewhere I can get a lunch (like a sandwich and a can of pop) for a fiver. Something filling because I’m super hungry already and not from a supermarket.

Istanbul bakery in the market - chicken shawarma wrap - won today. Amazing. Thanks everyone!

CareADHD just told me their wait for titration.

Hey all.

So I was diagnosed on April 20th, sent off my titration form on 7th May, it’s now nearly July so I thought right, they’re not answering my emails, let’s ask them what’s going on via live chat.

They’ve said the titration request still isn’t processed and once it is, they’ll send me more forms to fill out. Then, once they’ve received them, it’s a up to a 25 week wait for your first titration appointment.

When I was diagnosed, it said 8 weeks.

That is fucking ridiculous. I went with careADHD as they had the shortest wait times.

Just thought I should let you all know my little update. I’m absolutely fuming and asked them to just send the forms through like what’s the issue here? They take 10 minutes between replies and it’s all copy pasted. No proper human interaction and no support at all. Was fuming so just stopped the chat.

Just a heads up - don’t go with CareADHD. the uncertainty is a bad trigger for my symptoms and makes me worse. How have people dealt with this? I know it’s long for everyone but that’s a huge huge huge jump in time.
