Texted him after 4 months no contact
I texted him about 1.5 months ago saying “Hey, how are you?” and he didn’t respond. Yesterday I finally sent him one last text, which was a long apology letter (bc I felt a lot of guilt and felt I needed to sent it for my closure) and he responded with this.

Why are some people unwilling to give an ex another chance even after time and change?
Months have passed since we broke up, and I’ve changed, but he doesn’t want to take the risk of trying again to see if things could be different.
People say they'll never go back to an ex, but don't people change with time? Why are some people unwilling to take the risk of trying again with an ex after time has passed and they may have changed?
If you still love someone, why wouldn’t it be worth the risk to see if things could be different? Isn’t love worth taking that risk?
