Steel toe riding boots?

I know steel toe boots might not be the safest option for riding boots, with the metal being a potential hazard if you smash your toe into the asphalt Ina crash.

but I ride to work (factory), and end up wearing my standard steel toes with shitty ankle protection just because I don't have the time or space to carry a second pair with me and switch once im there.

Are there any good pairs out there that fit my needs?

Motorcycle under-armor?

Hey everyone! I was wondering if there're any good ""Jackets"" with full armor, yet thin material, so that I can throw a normal jacket that I like over and still have decent protection.

and also, I'm not gonna lie, when the tennessee heat comes blasting down, I often become one of those idiots in a T-shirt on the highway (I often have to ride my bike out of necessity), so having something lighter than a full jacket that I can throw on and have at least a moderate chance of not getting peeled like a banana if I eat shit, would be great!

Thanks ahead of time for any info!

Tips for practiceing typing English 1k to 10k?

I want to start expanding my typing skills, not just to keep typing the 200 to 1000 most common words as quickly as possible, but to type any word I may come across efficiently.

I've gotten my English 1k to 80-90 WPM, and that's enough for me, I now want to work towards hitting that speed on the English 5k and above.

Actually sitting down and just practicing the 5k is definitely giving me slow and steady progress, but not coming across these words often, because there's such a huge pool, definitely slows my rate of building "muscle memory".

That got me wondering if anyone has made smaller words pools to practice, e.g 1k-2k, 2k-3k, 3k-4k, etc.

That would be so frickin' sweet.

Aside from that, any typing advice is much appreciated!

Easy way to practice paid moon cruiser jumps?

I want to learn the Dine and Artifice cruiser jumps, but I really am dreading the idea of grinding the money for each attempt, then wiping, and starting over again.

Is there a mod for loading into specific maps, or giving yourself money at the beginning of the round?

How do yall go about practicing these jumps?

▲ 7 r/klr650

I just recently bought a 2008 KLR 650 for $2800 with only 3000 miles on her, which Im going to take for commuting to college after work, it's was sitting for at least 5 years, and has the original tires still, so they're most certainly dry rotted.

So far I've done an oil change, changed air filter, cleaned the carb, and ordered the "doohicky" upgrade kit. It's running great.

Since I'm not planning to use this for off-roading, I really want to be optimized for 55mph - 80mph riding, without burning oil like crazy.

I'm know I want to change the sprocket out, but I'm not sure what would be the best ratio, if I need to swap both front and rear, if I need to switch the chain, etc.

Also, when I replace the tires, do you think I should grab some more road oriented tires, or do the standard handle highway fine?

Advice is appreciated
