Travel Hämis 👍

My sister crocheted me a few Hämikset a few months ago for my birthday and since they're pretty easy to make, I requested a travel version for a vacation I'm about to go on. I'm leaving today for Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Kings Dominion, so she delivered my new 4th Hämis friend earlier this weekend. Here he is, carabiner-ed to my backpack, and I'm going to see if I can get him on any roller coasters while I'm there. If some guy can get a stuffed bee to get a "credit count" then this little dude can too. Definitely going to try to get pictures of him around the parks, will update after I'm back.

This is version 1, hopefully he survives. Since he's a pilot version, she's going to make me a 5th friend afterward with better proportions and ideally as study as can be.

Thoughts on "extended extraction" ideas?

I love extractions. I love the high intensity feel of the escape, so naturally I loved the storms in Pacific Drive. I want to spend more time listening to the music that plays when you're on your way to the extraction point from the boss, so I feel is a tragedy it lasts so little time. So I have some ideas to make extraction last longer, both in optional and maybe less optional ways.

- Optional: Side objectives. It would be cool if when the storm hits, normal side objectives are worth double, so doing them in the middle of an escape yields more souls or gold. That, or new side objectives spawn after the boss and you can complete those for extra gold, souls, and xp.

- Less Optional: Bye bye mount. The overseer already takes your horse, maybe he takes it eighty after the boss and you have to schmoove your way to extraction? Idk, that one could be pretty unpopular. I just like to schmoove.

I just want to make extractions more interesting than simply "run from boss to extraction and ring that bell"

My thoughts on Voice Acting

Seems to be a surprisingly controversial topic here based on an initial search. I want it to be added because I have trouble reading captions in the thick of battle and miss things frequently. Player robots? Eh, I couldn't care less. I want to hear beep boops and whistles and stuff, but no real voices for them since we don't really have actual lines to voice. Would be really cool if we could have whistles and beep boops of different pitches and patterns to indicate different things, like voice lines, but no verbal language if you get what I'm going for. The overseer though, I feel like he could do with a voice. Yeah, yeah, it would be akin to a more antagonistic "Mission Control" from DRG, but it's not like DRG invented the idea of a character talking to the team from afar.

I feel like if you don't want voice acting and think it detracts from the game, that's fair, but more often than not when voice acting is in a game, it has its own volume slider. If you think it detracts from the game, then you could just turn it off. It's one of those things that hurts nobody and helps those that want it.
