I'm considering finishing my accounting degree with Athabasca transferring from NAIT. I completed NAIT's accounting diploma (last year done all online so I'm used to this environment already). Is it possible to accelerate the time to complete the BCommPD pathway faster than two years or would it be recommended to take two years to finish. Is it possible to finish one or two courses in a month?
I know Athabasca is a "study at your own pace" university, but I wanted current or past students thoughts on this.

Has anyone here worked for Elk Valley resources? I'm considering a switch in careers to create a better future for myself and fiancé down the road. Short term pain for long term gain?

I realize its a camp job, but its 4 x 4. And in my eyes thats better than 7 x 7 or 21 x 21. Yes I know its long hours doing the same task everyday.

But what are the career prospects in the mining industry starting as a operator and moving upwards? Depending on what I do there (yes I know I'm looking at a mine truck operator) how can that experience transition to a different industry that I'm not away?

As the title says I'm currently looking to transition careers from the hospitality industry into a office admin position or the accounting field. I have 16 years experience working in kitchens from being a line cook to running a kitchen. With that experience I have had exposure to the administrative side of restaurants as well as accounting as well (invoicing, ap, ar, bookkeeping).

I realize that the job market in Calgary is extremely tough right now but can anyone give me any advice on switching careers? Or even possibly any local leads instead of using amd relying on Indeed.

I completed the Accounting diploma program in April doing it all online. I'm considering doing the BBA Account and analytics program, but looking at the course schedule link for all courses it says that the finals will be done on campus regardless of delivery method. Considering all of the exams in the diploma program didn't need to be done on campus I'm wondering why the BBA program has this stated in the course schedules.
