I don’t know if I’m really asking for the right thing? I love dark fantasy romance from the perspective of plot: murdery, stabby stalkery type stuff usually seen in the darker fantasy books. Complex magical plots, super dangerous characters.

I just really am not getting on with one completely irredeemable party and a doormat and would like to avoid recommendations where that happens at all costs.

I love where they are both equally unhinged, into some fucked up shit or like very morally grey (will take pitch black). Most dark romances, even fantasy seem to read: super horrible MMC, does unforgivable things, FMC forgives. I’m not a fan of the stereotypical partner that is naive, super inexperienced, a doormat (especially in the bedroom), just gets repeatedly hurt and forgives, is only 18 and has no experience or is thrown in the deep end. I want an older MC that has some life experience, isn’t just floundering and relying on the super experienced love interest.

I need them to be equals; even if that means they are both super morally grey 😂. I also love them being obsessed cinnamon rolls (that might get a little stabby), with absolutely no betrayal or dickhesd behaviour but the wider plot is super dark?

Not into massive age gaps (Looking at you, 18year old catching the eye of a thousand year old elf), captive/kidnapping, no cheating, no completely clueless main character.

I don’t mind MF/ MFM/ MMF/ FF or any variant there of.

Plot must be plotting, and fun/good magical world building.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated 🖤🫶🏻🖤🫶🏻🖤

So l absolutely adore {KM Shea} and especially the trilogy {the court of midnight deception by KM Shea}. I reread it a lot, a love the cast of characters, the way she absolutely trolls her court, her murdery consort, the whole cast of characters. Couldn't recommend enough - all her works in the Marigold world are absolutely fantastic. (Shout out to Killian and Hazel too, who were hysterical in their trilogy). It is however closed door romance which is great, but I'm in the mood for something a little more substantial. So pretty please with cherries on top, any recs for books similar to this with open door romance (all the spice and smut pls), but also still really good plot? I also don't mind more graphic violence etc. TYIA🖤

I love when it’s full of banter, and like they might pretend to all hate each other but it doesn’t matter because family.

I also don’t mind if it’s Black Family against the world and they will do what’s needed for their family but they aren’t necessarily for the Light OR The dark.

Hello everyone

I am dying to find fics where Voldemort/Tom is the good guy (well okay, maybe not good because I don’t mind the murdery grey vibes but he isn’t the villain of the story - love a good Dumble bashing or Weasley bashing).

I also really enjoy the concept of the younger generation bullying him/ manipulating him into being on their side of that makes sense haha or if he turns out to be one of their parents.

Or even crack fics - very much a fan. Time travel / fix it fics also good

Love a Dramione that are BAMF, no third act break up.
