Going from Amitriptyline 20mg to 10mg

Hi,

I've been on 20mg Amitryptelene for around 2-3 weeks and was having really bad side effects from it. I spoke to my doctor and have gone back down to 10mg on the next dosage day.

Is this fine or do you think I need to taper down?

Thanks

I'm currently going through a few health challenges and seeking advice on how to make an additional 20K per year to cover treatments and such, and whilst still having some breathing space to live and support the family.

Moving up to Endep 20mg and need help maintaining ED to a minimum level

Hello,

I'm working through some dizziness and muscular skeletal pain issues and have been on Endep for around 6 weeks. I've been asked to go up to 20mg to trial for several weeks and need your help and advice.

I've been on Tadalifil 5mg Daily as well and noting that ED is worse. It always hasn't been the best but taking it to make sure there is always blood flow in the area at the moment.

I was also on Mobic for a while and one strange thing I noticed that my erections were harder so unsure why this would be.

I'm also experiencing weight gain and trying to.manage they through more controlled eating habits.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Chronic Injuries and which modality to use; Resistance Bands, Bodyweight, Calisthenics, Kettlebells

Hi,

I've been dealing with a number of chronic muscular skeletal injuries over a number of years now and have been gravitating between thinking of starting a more rigid program to be more functionally fit.

My goal is to be flexible, overcome my chronic injuries, strong, and if I could think of an end game to my body physique, then would be happy with a beach fit physique.

I know I need to fix a number of imbalances, flexibility issues, and gain strength.

I'm also quite tall, and find I'm quite inflexible throughout my lower body which is underdeveloped. My chronic injuries are all upper body from neck to mid/lower back, to shoulder and elbow pain at times.

What is the best modality for me to work on this at home? Calisthenics, Bodyweight Fitness, Resistance Bands?

Thank you

Managing Weight gain on Amitriptyline

Hi,

How does everyone manage weight gain whilst on Amitriptyline?

I'm on 10mg now and thinking if I should drop to 5mg to see if it will help and still remain effective or do I have to eat a specific diet to not gain weight whilst on this medication?

Thanks

Any new alternatives to Amitriptyline?

Hi,

I've been taking Amitriptyline for nerve pain, dizziness, and better sleep. It's working but the side effects aren't too great and mostly takes the edge off. I also find myself more calmer as I tend to overthink many things.

Is there something newer that can be recommended to hopefully avoid the side effects being dry mouth, constipation, weight gain, and brain fog?

Thanks

How long before can easily taper off/stop Amitriptyline easily?

Hi,

I'm taking Amit for possible nerve pain and to sleep better.

I've been on it for around 10-12 days not at 10mg.

I'm not enjoying the side effects so how long before I can totally stop.

Thanks
