Fine Arts fresher graphic designer looking for advice.

Hello! I'm a Fine Arts (VisCom) fresh grad graphic designer. After I graduated I haven't gotten much luck receiving any JOs from the places I applied to so I wanted to ask for advice.

While job searching I noticed most GD positions required skills for Adobe InDesign for layout and Adobe After Effects for motion graphics. And Figma too! I'm thinking of upskilling since I only have Ps, Ai, and Pr as my Adobe software lineup and it looks like they're not enough anymore to land a GD position nowadays. 🥺 Which one do you think should I start to learn? And if you have other tips please let me know! 💌

Thank you! ❤️

Fine Arts fresh grad graphic designer looking for advice.

Hello! I'm a Fine Arts (VisCom) fresh grad graphic designer. I got into graphic design really young since during the golden era of Wattpad, nagkaroon ng niche community of amateur GDs sa Wattpad and Facebook designing book covers for stories. At 12, I started playing around Photoshop and Ps talaga was the software that I mastered throughout the years. After I graduated I haven't gotten much luck receiving any JOs so I wanted to ask for advice.

Thank you! ❤️

VA Newbie | I received a follow-up email from employer but not 100% sure if it's legit.

Hello po! I'm a June 2026 fresh grad but had no luck yet in my main career job opportunities so I started applying for VA positions.

  • I applied through a listing on the filipinocontractors website.
  • I received an email from the company asking for the usual personal info stuff BUT they are also asking if I can buy specific materials like payroll folders na through Amazon lang pwede ma-order.
  • They did mention naman na need lang siya i-buy after mag-sign ng contract and ire-reimburse siya fully kaya nga lang skeptical pa rin ako because P5K+ yung payroll folder plus int'l SF pa, huhu.

Na-mention nila na rate is $20/hr, 25-30hrs/wk. And nung chineck ko naman yung consulting company through state/government website nandun naman yung business. Normal lang po ba tong conditions and rate for entry-level VA with no experience (provided daw nila training)?

Thank you so much po sa sasagot. 🥹

If meron po palang may graphic design needs/need ng static ad designer, you can hire me din po hehe. 👉👈 Ito po yung portfolio ko: https://iyahlazaro.carrd.co/ 💌

EDIT: Thank you so much po sa mga nag-respond! I'll keep this in mind po going forward when applying for VA roles. 😊❤️
