How can I make my writing sound more Fairy Tale-esque?

I'm writing a script for a project that is very based around the imagery of Rapunzel and plays a lot with the isolation metaphors of it + the themes of mother gothel etc.

The thing is, I'd like to make it sound more flowery or more fairy tale-esque but I'd prefer to not just dive into a thesaurus all the time, but to play with how do I write sentences etc.

Any tips or advice?

EDIT: I do not mean this as a Kid fairy tale, I mean it more in the Grimm gothic fairy tale type, I should've probably clarified that before as it is a project directed to adults that speaks of adults topics!

Books about complex mother-daughter relationship dynamics

As always, I can tank any trigger warning that you can offer me so feel free to offer me anything, just tag it properly (depending on what content it has I'll probably feel more inclined to read it lol)

This is how I cope, my life and relationship with my mother is something very complicated and Rapunzel-esque but I still love her unfortunately.

I prefer if the books are mother-daughter specifically but I will not mind reading something like "on earth we're briefly gorgeous" bybocean vuong.

Novels that I liked a lot was little fires everywhere, sharp objects, crying in h mart, etc. I still have to read the one Jennette McCurdy wrote, I know.

As you can see too, I do not mind if it's fiction or non fiction, and inside that, I also do not mind the genre of it.

My only condition is that it has to be focused on their relationship (like in little fires everywhere), it can't be something as a subplot.

Looking for dark games like fear and hunger

I recently got in the fear and hunger rabbit hole and I have been very interested on finding similar experiences!

I don't really have any requirements if I am honest, it can be from any genre (rpg, metroidvania, jrpg, hack and slash... ANYTHING) platform or have any kind of graphics that it has (I don't care if its rpgmaker, 2d, 3d etc).

I just want something that falls under the same umbrella of Funger/funger 2.
