Hey everyone,
I leased a brand-new 2026 Lexus RX 350 in July (completely original factory condition, under 2,000 miles, no modifications).
A few days ago, the front seamless plastic spindle grille started warping, melting, and bubbling. It turns out it's caused by solar convergence (when a nearby window reflects sunlight into a hyper-focused laser beam).
I took it to Lexus of Henderson, and the Service Director explicitly admitted to me that "this is a common issue that happens in as little as 5 minutes of sun reflection," but they flatly refused to cover it under warranty and told me to file an insurance claim.
