I decided to try my first non bought patterned piece and now I'm realising I have no clue how to pick colours😭 ( I have the same issue with painting, my brain just can't seem to figure it out)

I used an off white so far but I'm so confused on how to do the shadows. I thought a mix of grey and the off white would work but I'm not sure if it looks stupid 🥲

Is there an easy way to work out which colours to use or should I just turn it into a black line piece ?

He's become so much cuddlier and came and lay on me the other morning 😭 Normally he just comes for pets and leaves so to get an actual cuddle was nice !!

I figured go big or go home for my first ever quilt and quickly had regret 🤣

I don't think I stuffed my puffs enough, accidentally stitched the strawberry's sideways and she's pretty wonky but I'm overall pretty happy with how it turned out and so are the kitties 🤭

I think next time I'd do a different backing fabric just so the threads don't show as easily.

I think hand tieing the three layers was the worst part, it took me probably about 10 hours to do all the 4 corner cross sections😭

I'm already thinking of my next one !!!

Had to visit the vet today( he's all good!) And he was very unhappy in his carrier 😭🤣

My new rocking chair has been claimed by my og babies🤣

She just wants to be glued to me 24/7 🥲 Everytime someone says girl cats are mean I just show them pics of her and her lack of personal space🤣

We finally got our fence fixed and the weather's been nice so the kitties are getting to have supervised garden time again!

I swear he's happier about it than he looks, he was locked in on a bird on the roof in the 2nd pic 🤣

Phoenix has become obssessed with my new pregnancy pillow😭 I feel so bad when I have to move him !!

He blessed us with a mini blep during bedtime cuddles !!!

We only let the cats out in the enclosed garden when its good weather and both of us are home to supervise! Today was the first time since last summer and Phoenix was very happy! 🐱

He found himself a nice shady spot under the acer 🤭

I wanted to get some watercolour practice in so of course I had to paint my two babies plus they look so cute in their party hats !!🤭🐱 The goal is to eventually have different styles of artwork of the cats on the wall !

Then straight back to snoozing 😭🤣

Is a crazy bed head 😭🤣 I swear we brush him daily !
