So im an extremely paranoid and anxious person who thinks every slight thing could be a big problem so please take this with a grain of salt. I own a 2013 Honda Civic and yesterday I had an hour and a half drive through some pretty nasty weather. It was downpouring rain to where I couldnt see and I drove through some pretty big puddles as well. I usually have my music cranked up when driving so it couldve been happening before the storm but ive really noticed it this time while driving it today that when it accelerates it has a slight purring noise to it almost slightly like a racecar. Like I said maybe its been like that and its normal and I just haven't noticed it due to the music but its just now stuck out to me enough to turn the music down. Another odd thing thats been happening has been it not starting on the first try I turn the key in the ignition. It doesnt happen daily or all the time, but just a few times this past week (one time before the storm i belive). I turn the key and the dash lights up like normal but the engine doesnt start. Its just silence. So I take the key out and turn it again and then everything is normal. Like I said I could very much be overreacting but this car is getting up there a bit in years and its high on miles so I wouldnt be surprised if it was something. My dad is an ex car guy and said its probably because it got so wet during the storm and to just keep an eye on it. What do you guys think?
