I got a error message saying "Registration and Drop are unavailable in this instance". I owe some money to the school but its not alot so im wondering if they putmy account on hold or if the site is just lagging.
I was recently diagnosed with ADHD as a 26F college student. Adderall was helping me a lot with school and I was finally starting to make progress.
Later, I apparently scored borderline too high on a mental health assessment, so Kaiser referred me to the county and I ended up at MFI Recovery in Riverside.
The problem is MFI doesn’t prescribe stimulants, so now I’m suddenly without the medication that was helping me function in school.
I tried going back to Kaiser to get my medication, but they said I couldn’t because I had already been transferred to MFI.
What really frustrates me is that my Kaiser psychiatrist made it seem I could keep getting my medication through Kaiser while doing therapy through MFI. She convinced me it would be easier to just switch to MFI completely(which in retrospect is probably because I annoyed the heck out of her of my problems). But I didn’t know MFI wouldn’t prescribe stimulants.
Now I’m basically stuck between Kaiser and MFI, without my medication and 😭 struggling. I'm extra stressed because of the workload next Spring is going to be really heavy (for me personally) taking chemistry and anatomy &physiology as well as other fillers. This is so frustrating. While I actually liked the therapist they got me, I can't make any more progress without the medication. Now, I am being discharged soon hoping everything goes smoothly but, this whole thing is just bonkers.
Unrelated rant, but I’ve honestly never liked the therapists I’ve had through Kaiser. Then I started at MFI and suddenly I have a therapist who actually cares about me and even requests to speak to people in my life to better understand me?. Kaiser would NEVERR. The problem is I only have straight Medi-Cal, and Kaiser is actually great for a lot of my other healthcare needs — just not therapy IMO. So where are you guys getting actually good therapy with Medi-Cal? I’m in the Riverside/Moreno Valley area and would love recommendations because I really don’t want to go back to Kaiser therapy.
