What would keep you watching a Homestead channel?

Being a homestead channel can be difficult, because it does not sit neatly in a niche. The topics range from animal husbandry to agriculture to community, farm stands, renovations, and more. I can understand that a lot of people aren’t drawn to this lifestyle. If you are one of those people, what possible things would make you watch a Homestead channel?

What do you search for?

I seek personality. I want to like the person. Even if it’s a how-to, if I wouldn’t want them as my neighbor, I’m not likely to keep watching.

Dealing with disillusionment

It’s been over a year, but even with consistent weekly videos and what we think is improving quality, views and subs are tanking. Is it just summer or are we just boring?

Am I kidding myself with this genre?

I watch a lot of ambient videos with calming music or bird and water sounds. I’m tired of the AI nonsense and try to seek out authentic content. It’s difficult to find so I feel like it is an under-served niche, to provide 100% real audio/video of nature scenes. So I made a channel doing just that. With views of our own property. Will let you know how it goes!
