Is burning & pain, rather than pins and needles/numbness, more associated with SFN?

Just back from neurologist visit. Didn't have high hopes but once again, these Drs just make me mad. I'll like to cross-check her claims with everyone's experience and knowledge. She said the below

- pins and needles, numbness and cold feeling is less likely to correspond to SFN, which according to her presents more as burning and pain.
- SFN can be traced to a cause in only 20% of cases, the rest is idiopathic.
- swelling and redness of toes is not SFN.

what do you think/know? Thank you.

Hi, the dentists out there, I'll like to know if it's normal that my mouth feels dry about 2 hours after eating. Female, 52, menopausal. Only on HRT, no other meds that could cause dryness.

Is it 'dry mouth' when the sides of the mouth are still moist? I see dryness mostly on the root of the mouth (especially the back part), back of mouth leading to throat, and inside of upper and lower lips (dryish to the touch). Tongue has white coating (not thrush) and fissures though.
