PDA in 6 year old with restrictive eating

Hey, we are struggling to feed our 6 year old son with PDA/ADHD. Growing up, we introduced lots of new foods, lots of variety. However, over the last 3-4 years it has dwindled to basically only a handful of foods that are "safe". When we even mention supper, it's a strong emotional response. We actually have to call his supper, "breakfast", otherwise he won't even touch it.

His Dr had us do up bloodwork and noticed that his cholesterol was a bit higher than she would like for his age.... told us to add healthy fats... which is fine. However, she is completely aware of the challenges we have around feeding, so it's extremely frustrating to hear, "just add this".

His cholesterol is obviously higher because of his diet but he is so restrictive in what he will eat we are extremely limited. We have tried to make some healthier swaps, as much as possible... but even still, I feel defeated. I hate that meal times have become such an uphill battle. I feel guilty that my spouse and I (and two other kids) are eating nutritional, well balanced meals.. while my 6 year old survives off of jam sandwiches.

We have been to OT/dietician. Very little came from it. I feel like nobody understands. Nobody sees the meltdowns my kid has when offered something new.

I am trying very hard to figure out how to parent my child and most days I feel like I failed as his mom. Between, school, bedtime and mealtime I am losing my sanity with my child.

Edit to add: His safe foods are jam or Nutella sandwiches, crackers, yogurt, waffles, chicken nuggets, fries, apples, berries, granola bars and certain cereals. He will eat pepperoni but we have really had to cut that one out for obvious reasons. The list used to be longer but it just keeps getting shorter and shorter.

Misfire on cylinder 4

Heyyy, to start, let me first state that I am not a car person... I don't do mechanics but I am also a broke b*tch lol. Bought my car a year ago, 2019 Si at 110k, so it's entire mechanical history is unknown to me. Anyways, having an issue and just want other people's opinion on it.

I was accelerating and the heavy load caused my car to misfire and it went into limp mode, flashing engine light. Ran a scanner that said it was a misfire on cylinder 4. So, we swapped the coil, cleared the code and I continued to drive the car but driving lightly cause I needed to get to work. Didn't have any issues as long as I didn't really book it.

Figured it was probably time to swap out the coils and spark plugs, so, I did that. I got some mishimoto coils and NGK laser iridium plugs. Gapping is about .028". Car still stuttered or hesitated when trying to heavy accelerate, idle was a little rough. Once again, misfired and went into limp mode with blinking engine light. Code reader says misfire on cylinder 4.

So I parked the car cause I don't want to wreck it. Through some researched, figured it might be the fuel injectors. Had a family member with some knowledge check the compression, he said seemed fine.

Went to start my car today and now the exhaust is sputtering a bit and I also checked my oil, which smells like gasoline. My brother is a mechanic who at one point worked at Honda service dept. and doesn't really believe it is the injectors, but he has not looked at my car, I have only explained it to him and said I need to do diagnostics on it. My brother who is not a mechanic but has worked on cars his whole life, albeit, pre 2010 cars with no DI, think it is the fuel injectors.

I do have diagnostics booked for the 6th but that is at the dealership since my local mechanic cannot get me in until the 18th. Frustrating.

I do have OEM Honda fuel injectors on hand to replace but like, am I chasing dreams thinking that this is just - replace injectors and change oil and everything is all sunshine and rainbows? Obviously going in for diagnostics is the ideal path here but I am just curious, guys. Lol
