Hi! I applied for Part Time Watercraft on the Disney careers website and the job description actually didn’t say anything at all about driving boats, so I assume I applied to be the people who let you on and off the dock? (I wish I could find a copy of the job listing online somewhere)

My question is- if I have NO boating experience, like legit none… are they going to ask me if I can drive/pilot a boat? I’ve been waiting for a chance to get in to Disney for years.

I’m confused because a lot of college programs are assigned watercraft, so do they hire people who have never driven a boat before to drive boats? Or are there separate parts of watercraft where I would just be loading and unloading people?

For some reason I am completely obsessed with this specific time, probably because pics and videos are so rare. I swear I have seen every single video you could possibly find on YouTube (I’m talking videos-with-only-17-views level scouring) and I’ve seen a Reddit thread from r/newjersey of people talking about how the brothers came to their school and the kids used their free CDs as frisbees (crazy!)

I also spend a lot of time on the wayback machine and have found their old fansites (jbstreetteam.groupee.net) and that gives me hours of content which I love, but there’s tons of dead ends.

So please, if you were lucky enough to be in the early pre-Disney fandom and have any stories or pics or videos, please comment.

Any tips on how to not get scammed lol. I desperately need 2 tix for tonight at MSG, but the last 5 people I talked to all seem sketchy
