Is there an automotive AC shop here that can service an R12 era vehicle?
I’m looking to get the AC working again in my 1993 Jeep YJ resto-mod. It still has the original, factory installed, R12 AC system that now has a bad compressor. The PO gave me a box full of parts to get the AC working again, though since the system has never been opened (to my knowledge) it’s safe to assume it’s still charged with R12. Is there an automotive AC shop nearby that’s willing to evacuate and dispose all the old R12, replace the faulty AC parts, and retrofit it to use R134A?
