Braided wig switch up

Taking this braided wig boho bob for another spin with a center part and different styling approach. After wetting, adding leave-in and curl cream, I used my diffuser for more defined curls and volume instead of letting her air dry, which gave more of a wash-and-go look. The volume from using the diffuser makes the smaller braided section (5”x5”) blend in more with the overall unit.

Included some extra pics from the side and back to show the shape. 🫶🏽

She’s definitely growing on me and the color is making me feel like *that girl*, especially when combined with a little makeup. I can’t get enough of these braided wigs - being able to switch it up without needing a stylist is the best, especially since I don’t have many options for braiders where I live.

Perfect for Summer

When I saw this braided bob wig, I knew I had to try it. I chose the 12” Brown Highlight Readitress Boho Braids with the comfort cap. The unit is great for summer, since it’s lightweight, short and actually comfortable. The minimal lace makes it a quick install as well.

I was surprised that the braided section didn’t extend further out. I was able to flip the braids one row over to make a side part (as pictured), but this wig would be next level with a mostly braided base.

Love how natural this units looks and feels

As a mostly makeup-free girlie, I have a lot of appreciation for when the lace is basically invisible. I find the less makeup I add to the front of my lace the more seamless the melt.

I’ve been wearing this one daily for going on 2 months now (weekly, no glue installs w/ frontal queen lace melting spray and bold hold skin protectant) with a full unit wash every two weeks.

She’s a little frizzy here because I didn’t hit it with water and mousse before my coffee run, but still had to share the melt. 👌🏽😩

Braided wigs for the win 💖👌🏽

Now that I have a braided wig, I don’t think I can ever go back to sitting for 7 hours for braids. It’s a real game changer, especially when you have fine hair and usually get tension bumps from braids after a week or two. 🙏🏽🥺

These photos are from day three of an my install from my Baltimore/DC trip where it was very hot and very humid, but my wig never missed a beat (even when my sister was messing with hair part for photos).
