Soc-Sci Reading Group in BBSR
Hi r/Bhubaneswar_Social,
We're three social science researchers and we've started a social science focused reading group for people who are tired of reading alone outside the academic setting. Our focus will be - history, ethnography, sociology - the kind of books that will make ordinary things look strange and strange things look ordinary. Think of this group as a space where you can connect your experience with good scholarship. There is absolutely no social science background needed to be part of this collective. We just want people who are deeply passionate about doing the reading.

The group meets in-person in Bhubaneswar every four weeks for 90–120 minutes (one book per cycle, or half of a longer one). Sessions move from first impressions to deep analysis of methodology and contemporary relevance. If you've ever wanted an excuse to read seriously and talk about it with others, this is the place.
