Where to buy shiny red mary-janes from?

I've been madly searching the internet for a very specific style of Mary Janes and I've yet to find any reliable brand have them in red. I've only been able to find them on Cider and Shein which are both fast fashion brands and seemingly not very high-quality. Does anyone know other brands with them? I'm hoping to find something with a similar shape and heel height as in the photos. Thank you so much.

I’m not going to binge for 7 days

I’ve been bingeing every single day, oftentimes I’ve been bingeing multiple times I day. The past couple of days, I go to sleep and tell myself “I’ll quit tomorrow”, then I’ll wake up with an entirely different mindset and all my motivation will be lost and I’ll be desperate to binge. I’m genuinely so so so beyond sick of bingeing and I’m desperate to quit. I saw a post here saying they weren’t going to binge for a certain amount of time and I honestly just want to try it.

I’m hopinggg to get some motivation to stick to this idea and not change my mind in the morning by posting this here. I’m so ashamed of my bingeing I don’t have anywhere else to share this. If anyone has any tips or advice or motivation or ANYTHING please please tell me, I am truly desperate to stick to this.

What was your process for getting medication?

I've been struggling with binging for a couple of years now and it's gotten so much worse over the past two or so years. I'm not diagnosed with it, so I've been trying to handle it myself and have tried to quit at least 100 times over but nothing's working. At this point, i honestly think medication is the next step because I'm running out of ideas on how to handle it.

I know this is a very general question and will differ for many people, but I just wanted to know what the process was for getting medication. Do I need to go through a diagnosis first or can I just go to a doctor and tell them my problem in hopes they'll prescribe me with something? I'm just feeling super lost on where to go from here and I've been avoiding the cost of medication for a while but I'm getting desperate to quit. Thank you so much

I just realised I never finished reading my favourite fanfiction

I downloaded this fic to my Kindle back in 2022, when I was still new to AO3 and wasn't quite sure how it all worked. I've reread it a couple of times, and while I thought it was a bit of a blunt ending, the last chapter featured the MC dying, so I figured it made sense for the fic to end there.

I finished rereading the fic last night, and thought I'd go onto AO3 to leave a comment about how much I adored this fic. Imagine my surprise when I click on the fic's last chapter, just to find something I had never once read before. I lived four years of my life completely unaware that there were another two chapters AND an epilogue to this fic I love so deeply.

Peter being ignored in the fandom

At first, it didn't bother me that much because in the films/novels, the main takeaway is that Peter betrayed his friends. So, I understood why people hated him and didn't like him so much. But now, we've reached a point where the majority of characters are being redeemed. Regulus, Barty and Evan are all super popular (despite canonically being Death Eaters) with popular ships. It doesn't bother me that people like giving them character arcs and exploring their imperfections and complexities, but it's so annoying that people don't do the same for Peter, and it's becoming pretty clear that it comes down to the fact that Peter isn't conventionally attractive.

He had such an interesting backstory with so much potential to explore. He was a hat stall (complex), ultimately sorted into a house that centres around bravery. Just to make the cowardly decision to betray his friends for the sake of his own safety (which could be argued as brave in its own way). Then he framed his best friend for murder, and he also faked his own death, which is no easy feat.

I'm not saying he has to be redeemed or anything. I just think he is a really interesting character, and a lot of people underestimate his potential because of his appearance.

Favourite ship for Peter?

I wanted to write a Peter-centric fic, but I cannot think of who to put him with, and I wanted to hear who people ship Peter with. I've heard a pretty varied response from other people, from what I've come across, there doesn't seem to be one big ship that Peter is associated with.

Malcom Todd and Audrey Hobert as Pandora and Evan Rosier fancasts

I feel like they could work really well as fancasts, especially for band aus! Audrey is also know for being quite unique and eccentric, which I think aligns well with how Pandora is often portrayed. I do adore Elle Fanning as a fancast for Pandora but I can't stop thinking about how these two are perfect for Pandora and Evan when they're head canonned as being siblings.

I was able to sit in front of food and not eat it

I've been working really hard on not binging, and I found something that helped me was to have a snack/meal at the end of the night after dinner. Tonight, I found myself full pretty quickly, and I decided not to eat anymore. Admittedly, I did sneak one of two more pieces of food, but then I stopped. That in itself I was happy with because I had been excited to eat the food, and knowing when to stop has been difficult! But the part I'm most proud of was that I didn't have to immediately hurry and hide the food away. I allowed the food to sit there while I continued working on my laptop for a bit. I am very surprised I was capable of this, and I had no one else to share it with, so I thought I'd say here because I'm super happy!

Commenting etiquette on AO3?

I was just wondering what the etiquette for commenting is on AO3. I'm not new to AO3 and I've had an account for a couple years now, but when I read fics, I would usually leave a kudos and download fics to read on my kindle, so I never really commented on fics. I know comments aren't for criticism or anything, I was more just confused about when I should comment. Is it normal to comment on lots of chapters, or will authors find that bothersome? I want to show support but I don't want to completely spam their inbox. Thank you 😄
