What are the biological effects of extremely high temperatures, such as a fire, on reptiles, preferably Alligators? What is the most pressing danger from the abnormal conditions? What might hinder the animal from escaping the heat source? TIA!
(Note: This is for a mostly scientific story on extinct animals, I am not planning to incinerate any reptiles in real life. Cheers.)

Hi all, I am looking through cetacean skeletons for a specific trait (the forward curving neural spines in association with dorsal fins) but am having trouble finding specific dolphin skeleton images. Is there a specific resource that catalogues cetacean skeleton images I could use? Would tracking down specific papers be helpful? Any tips appreciated!
