I have heard most school districts close in BC for about 4 weeks in the summer and reopen with a last round of postings the last 2 weeks in august for positions that became available over summer, such as leaves, etc.
Can anyone tell me if this is somewhat true? Thanks!

Do all districts in BC allow retired teachers to TOC? This is for my aunt I’m inquiring for. Looking specifically for the South Island, Victoria and Saanich districts, if anyone knows.
