Side note I’m not religious btw, just annotating for fun.
Does anyone else feel like the land that God promised to the Israelites in these lines has similarities and parallels to the Garden of Eden? Not just the land itself but the notion that God will provide them fruitful lands as long as they obey him and if they don’t comply then they’ll face consequences. I know there is a slight difference in the idea that they won’t be banished from the land and instead the land becomes no longer plentiful. But does anyone else see the parallels and similarities between the two? I’m curious to hear your thoughts.
I’ve been studying for the lsat since late January and I continued to get nothing higher than a 154 on practice exams and doing an average of 65% or less on drills on 7sage. It was like this for months, barely any improvement and I was very frustrated. But then this week, like practically overnight, it feels like everything has clicked in and I have continuously gotten 75% or higher on all of my practice drills, and 160-164s. Has this happened to anyone else? Is it normal, to just like be a struggle bus for months and all of a sudden everything makes sense? I’m taking the September lsat too btw.
I’ve been trying to read the Bible cover to cover which was going well until I reached numbers. It’s a tad bit boring, but nonetheless I want to read it and understand it as much as I can. I’m not religious, but highly fascinated by religion and Christianity and would like to learn more about it. It would be nice to have someone to discuss it with to ensure that I keep up with reading it.
Hi, I’m Liz, I’m a 4th year history and political science student from Ohio. I’m looking for a few penpals to write letters to. I think it’d be fun. I’m still new to penpaling as well. I’m queer too. My hobbies include reading, playing the alto saxophone, pickleball, badminton, and enjoying nature. I have also been studying Spanish and Japanese for a few years now too. I also enjoy writing letters, however I have very few people to write to irl. I’d like to just have somebody to write letters to and talk about books and music we’ve recently consumed, or really just anything. Even the mundane can be interesting to me.
I’m also passionate about politics and would love to hear your thoughts on any political topic. Whether it’s U.S. politics, International relations or comparative politics, doesn’t matter, I would love to hear your thoughts on anything. I love gaining insights from new and various perspectives. I also love history and would love to discuss anything history related as well. I’m open to talking about anything really. Let me know if you’re interested.
I got all of these books for a total of $1.75! I’m very happy about my Oxford World Classic editions! And I do love penguin classics! I don’t mind mass market editions for original English texts either and I heard that most companies are going to stop making them soon too. I’m very very very happy about Dante. I’ve been wanting to read the divine comedy for quite awhile and I got it for only 25 cents! Plus Oxford World Classics typically have the best translations!
Hello, I’ve been studying Japanese for 2 years now at university and I feel like I’m falling behind. Most parts of Japanese grammar make sense to me but I’m still struggling with vocabulary and kanji. I use Anki deck with kanji put into sentences for practice but I still feel like it isn’t helping. Do you guys have any suggestions? Or ways to make sure I try to study more over the summer?
