New apartment has roach infestation. Send help.

For context, we are a family of 4, so we can’t just stay somewhere else while looking for a new place. Also, we live in San Diego County which has a ridiculous market where places are either too expensive or too small. This place is unfortunately “perfect”.

Today was move-in day and everything was perfectly fine until the night came along. As we sat around wondering what to eat for dinner, my mom saw a roach. We looked around and saw another, then another, then another. We went out to buy some small traps thinking maybe they got in while the place was being remodeled. When we got back, they were EVERYWHERE. They were on my mattress that I’d left on the floor, in the shower, the cabinets, the closets, around the floors and walls, hell even in the damn light fixtures. In total, we killed about 15 roaches and saw about 20 (ran too fast or immediately hid). Since it’s a holiday weekend, we can’t reach our landlord. We need to be out of our current place by the 12th of this month. That gives us less than 9 days (again, due to holiday) to either get our money back and find a new place or get rid of these damn roaches. I think they are the German types but there seems to be a mix or German and American. I don’t know enough about roaches honestly. I haven’t dealt with them since I was a kid, but I have a huge, huge phobia of them. I can NOT sleep there in its current state. I have a pretty good plan on how we’ll get rid of them, but send help. I need as much advice as possible. PLEASE!!!!!!!!

ps. i ordered advion and am getting bug bombs, caulk, and even waterproof tape to cover small openings TOMORROW first thing in the morning.
