It looks like all of the soil was pulled out and the flytrap was on the ground a few inches away and looks stepped on. If it is a bird how do I stop them from doing this? I’ve lost 2 flytraps this way now I only have an indoor one and the bigger one that is way more established.
Any YouTube videos or website links would be great.
These seed grown yellow varieties are in year 3 and one of them is cutting into the tomato cage. I e looked on FB marketplace and people are selling the trellis's for like $300 I can't really afford that so l figure building my own at Home Depot or some other store would be best. Just don't know where to start.

Is the rhizome too deep?
It is potted in peat, with a spagnum moss top layer in a big plastic dish. It gets full sun and I only use distilled water.
Dish water is low because it’s supposed to rain all day tomorrow. I have seen others talk about how their seedlings will be small like this for months and months I would rather fertilize to get it bigger before the end of the growing season
