I want to convert it to 1x but I can’t find a way to take the crank set apart? Are they fixed together or am I missing something?

It’s a pinarello Treviso frame

If I paddle backwards the chain gets caught on every gear and it just feels bad but it’s totally smooth when paddling forwards. Could it be a worn chain? I bought the bike like this and don’t know how old the parts are
