FM radio with squelch off

With the UV-5R Mini but I'm guessing it's all of them the FM radio can only be enabled when it's not receiving so if i turn squelch off the radio button becomes useless. Any idea if it's possible to still use it or make it do something useful? I can reprogram it but the functions are either useless or redundant. ¯_ (ツ) _/¯

Mighty Mite

Like many others have posted here I'm looking for a compact vac.

Eureka Mighty Mite seems like a good option but I do like having the option of checking it out at the store or buying it, looking at the size and returning right then and there and I'm not seeing it at any stores nearby.

I can buy it on Amazon, but the bags are a bigger issue. When I'll need replacement bags then I have to order and pay shipping or ship to store but still if I have the oh sh*t I'm out of bags while cleaning moment it's nice having the option to run out to the store instead of waiting at least a day.

So what are my options? Just get the Mighty Might and deal with ordering bags like everyone else does? Maybe there's another option? I just want a small vacuum. I'd go for bagless but the consensus here seems to be that bags are superior. Same for stick vacs, they suck, pun not intended.

I have all the major stores near me except for Wallmart. Home Depot, Lowes, Best Buy and a random hardware store which always has a shelf of vacs by the front door.

Thanks.

LAN-LOK: The Antarctic DOS Sabotage Game Lost for 34 Years

Saw this on Hacker News. It's brilliant and too real.

"You, the player, are the saboteur. Your goal is to “crash the network” by disabling as many machines as possible in five minutes. The AI-controlled “Evil Al” is the fixer, constantly working through a queue of broken systems and bringing them back online."

"“Soft” attacks that lock the LAN (print spam, abusive mail). “Hard” attacks that delete directories (del .) or reformat drives (format c:)"
