Lupe was referring to entendres, which we all know Kendrick Lamar is not famous for using. People like Lupe, King Los, MF DOOM, and even Eminem are examples of rappers that will lose the plot of a song just to make something a double entendre. What Lupe said, not deep. People extrapolate everything.

Direct quote from Lupe Fiasco:

"I'm not talking about albums. I'm not talking about making songs. I'm not talking about being an artist. All things that I've said all these years. He's a better artist than me. He makes better albums, he has a better team, he has better beat selection, he has better production, right? He has all of these better things, right? But when it comes down to lyricism? When it comes down to these lyrics, and putting these bars for bar for bar, no. Everything else, for sure. 100%. Listen: more personal, better narratives, more feeling, more personable, I don't wanna share my feelings with n*ggas like you. Why the fuck would I share my personal stories with n*ggas who want to talk crazy about you?"

I think the part where he starts going off the rails is where he thinks he has the right to question Kendrick for making a personal album. Just because Lupe feels insecure and wants to keep shit bottled up doesn't mean that's what everyone else has to do.

As a midwesterner myself, I think his/his parents Chicago roots are an underrated aspect of his lore
