Classic EastEnders

1 - 17 Jan 2011

Hi. How are you all? Where do I start? Toxic Janine made Stacey stabbed herself, although, she admitted she did it - typical. Stacey left the Square (as Lacey Turner starred in the 1st Series of Our Girl in that 4 year period). There's a love triangle for Connor with Carol and Whitney and a controversial swap baby starts.

This week: (can you believe we are on 2011? - I can't)

  • We begin with the story that ran on for 3 months as Kat and Alfie face the pain of saying goodbye to their beloved Tommy (which we know Ronnie swapped James for Tommy during NYE). A terrible shock awaits them at the hospital while Ronnie is left in turmoil over her actions. This will run on throughout the week until the day the "little boy's funeral," unaware it's Ronnie's!! Jack also returns following his late flight home.
  • Glenda decides to use her discovery about Ben to cause chaos for the Mitchells. Phil and Ian form an uneasy alliance to work together against Glenda's scheming - but will it be enough to save Ben? Well, later in the week Shirley, Phil and Glenda are thrown together by an unexpected business venture, but will Glenda succumb to his advances again?
  • A stunned Carol tries to silence Tiffany when she realises what her grand-daughter witnessed. Meanwhile, Ricky and Bianca are called to Tiffany's school to be faced with an unsettling notion. Connor pleads with Carol to run away with him, but her shocking confession to Bianca sets in motion a chain of events that lead to tragedy for the family.
  • Elsewhere, Tanya and Greg share some happy news to the Branning family. After talking to Jane, Syed tells Christian if he wants a man in a kilt he can have one – before revealing he's wearing a kilt himself. Babysitting Amy, Christian suggests to Syed they have a baby, Syed's not keen. Masood and Zainab pretend to set up 'waitressing interviews' for Tamwar to meet girls. Tamwar's annoyed - he'll decide his own future.

If you are Neighbours fans, Classic Neighbours starts straight after Classic EE.

Have a good week. 😊

Classic EastEnders

20 - 30 Dec

Hi. How are you all? Recap; Oh.. that Janine was toxic as ever during last week as she found out from "Fat Pat" that Stacey & Ryan were having an affair. So what did she do? Yep, drugged him to the eyeballs. Crushed, put them in drinks, until finally on Friday's ep, Stace found her nearing dead with evil wicked Janine looking on! Ben returned. Reformed, probably not, as someone pushed Glenda down the stairs. And what about Glenda's double men Ian & Phil still having secret meetings?? I look forward to the reveal. Naughty, naughty!!

This week:

  • As Ryan recovers from being drugged by his wife, he makes a shock announcement that causes mayhem in the Vic as the Butchers square up with the Slaters! Bring it on!!
  • With Christmas approaching, Bianca resorts to desperate measures to ensure her children get the best day they deserve.
  • Max and Vanessa struggle to play happy families with Tanya and Greg return for the festive period.
  • Glenda is horrified when Peter issues her with a savage warning. Phil then plans to expose her has unexpected consequences and Peter has a shocking parting shot for Ian.
  • As Christmas draws closer, the residents of Walford celebrate with their traditional choir. Janine carries out a final act of revenge against Stacey (she announces she killed Archie)! - will Max and Ryan be able to save her before it's too late? Erm. yes as we all know that she leaves on the plane (we know it's fake). Lacey Turner bows out and returns 4 years later.
  • Christmas Day approaches as Janine recovers from the dramatic events of the festivities, while the Square deals with the fallout of Stacey's departure. Pat struggles to come to terms with the awful truth. Elsewhere, Kat is horrified to witness Jean's downward spiral as she struggles to cope without her daughter. Carol comes to Connor's rescue, while Bianca warns Whitney to keep her distance.
  • By the end of the week, Ronnie and Kat give birth to their sons Tommy and James respectively, and this was a very big controversial story that us fans will remember (even I didn't like the idea too) as Ronnie swaps the babies. Yep, prepare yourselves!!

There is an hour episode on Wednesday. Have a good week. 🙂

The 2nd recast of Ben Mitchell (Joshua Pascoe)

13 Dec 2010

To be honest, I never really liked him 😑 as he was only on the show for 2 years.

u/lnwildeagle85 — 14 days ago

Classic EE: Recognise him?

6 Dec 2010

If any of you watch other soaps, this is Daniel Brocklebank (who played Billy Mayhew in Corrie and Ivan Jones in Emmerdale).

He played Roger Green for only two episodes as Billy thought he was his Dad?

Classic EastEnders

2 -17 Dec

Hello. How are you? It was a rather interesting week to recap; as Glenda had two men in one night Ian and Phil? Also, Stacey returned to the Square to her Mum's delight and Masood and Jane got it on, although clearly regretted it. Anyone heard a made up name hotel "The Sleep Inn?"

This week:

* Ian gets revenge on Masood after his night out with his wife, while Zainab delights in goading Ian. That will be fun to watch. Meanwhile return Syed faces a dilemma as he wrestles with a secret that could destroy his parents' marriage.

* Ryan and Stacey enjoy a risky rendezvous back at the Slaters', unaware that a looming Janine is planning to catch them in the act.

* As Christmas is nearing, Kat and Alfie hold their Countdown party - but who will be caught secretly under the tree secretly kissing Santa? Speaking of Santa's, Stacey and Janine have been picked to dressed as sexy Santa's!! Who would have thought of that? Pat though, is conflicted as she wrestles with a secret that could destroy Janine & Ryan's marriage. Wicked Janine resorts to chilling measures to punish Stacey & Ryan. The threesome continues during this week leading to consequences.

* Elsewhere, Billy and Julie's road trip leads to a run-in with the police, oops! The 2nd recast of Ben returns to the Square (as Joshua Pascoe takes over - not my favourite) and yes his homecoming doesn't start well. Carol and Bianca's attempts to steer Whitney away from Connor backfire spectacularly. Also Peter is left heartbroken when Whit decides to end their relationship. And Denise is devastated by some upsetting news.

Have a good week.

Classic EastEnders

2 - 17 Aug

Hello. How are you all? Well, what week last week with Lucas faking Denise's funeral, controlled his guilt, then we saw her at the basement below No.20, then as Dee saw the bright lights, Lucas hostage all the Fox/Trueman until in the end he was finally put away. Also, Ronnie told the truth about Archie's abuse as a child, although it took Roxy & Peggy long to believe her. Also, we saw a new friendship forming between Fatboy & Dot.

This week (it's Phil's turn):

  • It's a nightmare start to the week for Phil's worst nightmare becomes a reality as he has to give Louise away to social services following the report from Derek. He responds to the situation in the worst way possible, just as Lisa returns (for a one-off appearance) to reunite with her daughter Louise as we see the final appearance from her and actress Brittany Papple. Phil then return to (you guessed it), alcohol to numb the pain. Rainie also returns and gives Max a scare before staying at Phil's. It gets worse as by Friday, Shirley finds out Phil is on drugs!!
  • After recent events from the Truman/Foxes, Patrick is forced to come face-to face with his failings. Chelsea has a tough confession to make. She decides to leave the Square, along with her sister Libby. Also leaving will be Liz after Owen's funeral has been held.
  • Janine shocks no more than herself with a question for Ryan. Their crimpling defences start to crumble - there hope for happiness there? Hopefully not!
  • Max also doesn't have a good week himself. Not only Rainie returns, but also he has to choose between his daughter Abi or his lover Vanessa. Then he goads his brother Jack to breaking point.
  • Elsewhere, Tiffany and Morgan return to a delighted Bianca and Ricky. Bianca gets a grilling from her Mum Carol. Whitney also awaits for Billie's return, but is met with a devastating reality. Whit & Bianca take a miserable Carol out. By the end of the week E20 club is back in business, but will Peggy scupper Ronnie's happiness when she hears Glenda's secret?

16 - 30 July

Hi. Last week, Lucas was playing evil and straggled Denise never to be seen again, but.... Also, Ben was sentenced 5 months to detention after the attack on Jordan and Jack returned to the Square and got engaged to Ronnie.

This week:

  • As you can see Denise is alive and well, although we have to wait until midweek until we see that she kept in the basement (below No.20). During the week, Lucas also organises a "fake funeral" to make everyone believe she's gone, but the residents don't know that! Patrick emotions turn to anger, and packs up Denise's belongings. He tells Libby he hasn't had time to write the eulogy.
  • It's until the end of the week, that Dee finally gets out, but evil Lucas has one last trick on his sleeve. Don Gilet played a blinder in the episodes before his departure.
  • In other news, Syed tries to convince Christian of his feelings, Zainab & Masood lose a son. #Chryed rejoice! He tries to hide his relationship in public (secrets don't last).
  • In his first few days in prison, Ben assures his Dad Phil that life is fine in prison, but is he telling the truth?
  • Also, Ronnie has an unwelcome reminder of the past as she tries on wedding dresses. It's then she reveals all about her Dad's abuse to her sister Roxy. By midweek Ron & Roxy finally let her Mum in, although poor Peggy is left to battle with her family.

As well as it's the last appearance of Don Gilet on Friday we will also say farewell to Charlie Jones as Ben Mitchell. Joshua Pascoe takes over the role by the end of 2010.
