Cate Blanchett chastises theater audience for filming her London play: ‘It spoils it’

I saw the play yesterday and really liked it, but I was shocked when two women in front of me took out their phones to take pictures during the play. Is this a thing now?

Moving from UK to Luxembourg

Hi all. I am from Luxembourg but I've been living in the UK for almost 20 years now. I have loved my time here, but Brexit and layoffs and the impending Reform UK doom has me considering coming back. Also, many of my friends have moved away. I am over 40, so the prospect of a slower pace looks quite appealing. I speak all official languages. Partner is British and would have left for Luxembourg long ago, lol.

I've got family and old friends in Luxembourg, but the country has changed a lot in the last two decades. I often feel like an immigrant there, sort of like uncanny valley.

I was wondering if anyone else has moved back from abroad. Was it hard to get back into things? Do you regret your move?

It was a very hot day (26-28 degree celsius) and I had not trained for that during London winter.

It all went very well at first, I warmed up until about 15km. I felt good so I started my goal pace. The route was beautiful and I had a good rhythm. I made sure to drink at every station and throw water over my head. Passed the halfway mark, felt great.

Then suddenly, at about 35km, I felt faint. My legs were fine, but I felt super dizzy. It felt like heat exhaustion.

I started walking and had salt sticks and gels but it wasn’t getting much better. There was no shade anywhere, water stops getting sparse. I felt like I was about to faint, vision blurry, etc. It made me really anxious because I was in a very quiet area, no first aid in sight. I called my partner to tell him I was thinking of dropping out. He then hopped in an uber and brought me a can of coke.

And that can brought me back to life! I managed to run again at 39km as if nothing had happened. I came in at 5:35, a lot slower than I was hoping, but I am so happy I fought through it and that I managed to finish.

I am very proud and just amazed at what a difference a bit of sugar makes! I really want to run another one but I can’t do it in this heat again😄

I'm running Prague Marathon on Sunday and I've been SO hungry in the past 2 weeks, to the point that I feel brain fog. It gets better after I eat, so I've just been eating every 2-3 hours.

I do think I fuelled well enough during training, always took gels every 30 mins during long runs. I am wondering now whether ate enough before and after runs. Or maybe my body is just recovering from the training bloc? This is my first marathon, training went well enough and I did 30km, 28k and 25km twice as my longest runs.

I'm 180cm and strong, always loved food (lol) but I've never been this hungry. Has anyone else experienced this?
