Audi S5 EA839 - Where’s my TDC position

I’m replacing rocker arms on my 2018 audi s5 with the ea839 engine. I’m trying to get the engine to TDC point according to the manual, which the small hole on the pulley is at 0:00 and camshaft hole line with the case. But when i check the cylinder 1 (passenger side) with my screw driver, it is at BDC instead of TDC. Any explanation for this? Thank you

Am I cooked?

I got a 2018 S5 with 110,000 miles. It’s been making knocking sounds recently on bank 1, which I assume is a failed rocker arm. I gave it a try and opened up the engine and found those vertical marks with glitter like the pictures show. Will I need a new engine or just need to hone the cylinder wall. Thank you.
