Do you have one specific food that always leads to a great workout?

I feel like tuna sandwiches are some kind of not really talked about pre-workout meal. I’ve noticed that whenever I eat a tuna sandwich before a workout class, I almost always have an amazing workout. I feel more energized, stronger, and my sessions just seem to go better overall.

It’s happened enough times now that I’m actually starting to save my tuna sandwiches for my hardest training days because I don’t want to “waste” them on rest days.

I know it could just be coincidence, but I’m curious if there’s actually a reason behind it. Is it the protein? The carbs from the bread? Or is it just my brain associating tuna sandwiches with good workouts?

Has anyone else experienced this with tuna sandwiches or another specific pre-workout meal?

Amenorrhea + binge episodes — am I still considered ‘starving’?

Does anyone with amenorrhea from an ED still experience binge episodes? I saw someone say that people who claim they binge but don’t have their period back aren’t really bingeing because they’re actually starving.

I’m confused because personally I don’t feel like I’m starving myself (or could this just be because im used to eating little before i started working out. i way eat more now than i did now that i work out). I do eat, and sometimes I feel like I’m actually too lenient with myself. But I also know I’m still restrictive in some ways and I still have ED behaviors.

I don’t have PCOS or anything (I got checked), so I’m just wondering if anyone else has experienced missing periods while also having binge episodes?

Is it possible to binge but still be restrictive?

Is it possible to binge but still be restrictive? I “binge” maybe once or twice a week, even on normal days, but I still make sure I’m under maintenance or only a little over when it happens.

I still track and weigh everything I eat, but during these “binge” episodes I’m definitely going over 2k calories.

I’m confused because I feel like it’s a binge (I eat more than I planned and feel like I can’t stop), but I’m also still restricting and monitoring everything.

I really want to stop doing this and just be able to eat intuitively without constantly thinking about food or wanting snack after snack after snack. Has anyone else experienced this? How did you get out of this cycle?

Feeling “lazy” mid-set even though I technically have reps left? Will creatine help?

Does anyone else get this feeling where you’re mid-set and you’re not exactly at failure, but you suddenly feel “lazy” lifting the weight? 😭

Like I’ll be doing a set, and then I realize I still have 2 reps left but my brain is like “ugh I don’t want to keep pushing this” and the weight starts feeling so much heavier. It’s not that I physically can’t move it, I just feel tired and unmotivated during the set.

Is this normal? Is it just fatigue building up, not enough rest, not enough food, anxiety about the exercise, or am I jusy not pushing hard enough?

Also, would creatine help with this? Like would it make me feel less tired during sets or help me get those extra reps?

Not feeling a burn during back workouts but feel a sensation/stretch after?

I’m kinda confused about my back workouts. When I do exercises like underhand cable rows, I don’t really feel a “burn” or much happening during the set like I do with other muscles.

My form feels okay (I’m trying to pull with my elbows, not just my arms), but after my sets when I try to hunch over/round my backlike the cat-cow motio,I feel something in my back, almost like a stretch or a weird sensation.

Is this normal? Does it mean my back is actually getting worked, or am I doing something wrong? I’m worried I’m not activating my back properly because I don’t feel that mind-muscle connection during the exercise.
