An 18-year-old university student lost her life in a tragic road accident in Dehradun after being struck by a concrete mixer tractor on Sunday evening.

Victim: Vaishnavi Rawat (18), a first-year B.Tech student at Graphic Era University, originally residing in Patel Nagar (near Shadipur Metro Station), Delhi.

The Incident: Around 8:45 PM near Char Khamba Chowk in the Clement Town area, Vaishnavi was walking back to her room with her elder sister, Kritika Rawat. A mixer tractor approaching from behind struck Vaishnavi, knocking her under the vehicle and causing critical injuries.

Medical Outcome: Police arrived at the scene and rushed her to a nearby private hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.

Police Investigation: Clement Town Police, led by Station In-charge Mohan Singh, seized the mixer tractor and detained the driver. The victim's family was notified, and police scheduled inquest and autopsy procedures for Monday while an investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
