Need help picking an alternative to back squats in my program

To make it short. I've recently had to switch gyms because of work and they don't have a squat rack. While it's not much of a problem for the clean and snatch. In my programming.

I've been mostly torn between zercher and hack squats (while a smith machine is available the pattern feels unnatural).

My main issue with zerchers is i feel like i'm not fully exerting myself like i used to with back squats. So that's sort of my main reason as to why i'm torn between that or hack squat as my main squatting pattern.

Any help is more than welcome.

Ps: this gym is the only one available in the area as it is a very small town.

Plato was the first bodybuilding hater

This is a funny thing i discovered on a comment section of a post using plato as the oldest gymbro.

Turns out him (and socrates before him) established a different between aesthetics and gymnastics. Where the latter was meant to be health focused (strength, endurance etc) which made beauty come by as a natural result. While aesthetics was a fake or deceit even using just forms.

Kind of funny to see the debate is older than one may have thought.

Just watched a documentary on japanese pro wrestling. So it had me wondering. Could the sport actually bring anything to the table for self defense or fighting in a wider sense ?
