Am I the only one who finds the Easy Effects on/off toggles confusing?

Fix: Maximum Game Resolution missing or only Native resolution showing
Where is my 4K resolution?
I hope I can get this back, because it was like AMD VSR on Windows. Why did they remove it??
Finally I solved the slow launch issue for non-Steam games on SteamOS
I didn't have this issue when I used SteamOS 6 months ago, but it popped up recently after I reinstalled it. I've been looking for a fix for 5 days, and I finally figured it out after checking the game logs using PROTON_LOG=1.
The problem was that whenever I launched a game, it would spend 40 seconds trying to connect to the PulseAudio/PipeWire server, and after failing, it would fall back to winealsa.drv (ALSA fallback).
Since adding this code to my launch options, games open super fast now. If anyone else is running into this issue, you can try this fix:
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="winepulse.drv=" %command%
Why does SteamOS VRR feel so much smoother than Windows and regular DEs?
Turning on VRR in SteamOS Gaming Mode is insane. Even if I'm only hitting 80-90 FPS on my 180Hz monitor, it feels incredibly smooth legit like 120+ FPS. I've never been able to get this kind of buttery smoothness on Windows or regular desktop environments. How does that even work? Gamescope is crazy good.
I made a KDE App Launcher icon for Steam Machines and desktops
You can download the dark and light variations here.
Why did they remove this icon in the new SteamOS versions?
The Application Launcher icon used to be the Steam Deck logo, but why is it just the default KDE one in newer versions? Every time I install SteamOS, the first thing I do is download that old icon. I think it looks so much better.
Is anyone else having major issues with SteamOS on desktop recently?
Hey guys,
Until about 2 or 3 months ago, I was running SteamOS on my desktop PC (6600 XT, R5 3600). I switched back to Windows for an unrelated reason, but now I've decided to come back to SteamOS. The problem is, I'm running into some bugs I never experienced before.
First, the installation screen didn't detect my wired network at all. I had to drop into the tty screen and manually enable NetworkManager. That worked, but the other issues are more annoying.
I mostly play non-Steam games, and now they take way too long to launch like over a minute. I'm using an NVMe SSD, and I never had this delay during my previous setup.
Also, I can't pair my controller via Bluetooth directly from Steam's settings anymore. I actually have to switch to Desktop Mode, connect the controller to Bluetooth there, and only then will Steam recognize it.
I heard there were recent updates for desktop PC support, but honestly, it feels like my experience has gotten 10 times worse. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Why is DuckDuckGo’s image search so bad?
For instance, when I search for a meme, I can't find it in the image results at all, whereas on Google, the first result is usually that exact meme. The regular search results aren't even that bad, but I end up switching right back to Google just because the image search sucks so much. Do you guys experience this too, and is it something that can be fixed?
Where can I find Minecraft pre-releases in Prism Launcher?
I’m probably switching to ATLauncher ASAP.
