I called my own cell from every number in our dialer pool . The results are bad and our dialer swears the pool is "healthy".
okay so I went down a rabbit hole this week and I need to know if I am losing it or if everyone else is seeing this too.
our connect rate has been sliding for about four months. nothing about our process changed. same list sources, same script, same time blocks, same team. so I decided to just test the actual phone numbers we are dialing from.
over five days I called my own cell from every single number in our rotation pool. 12 numbers total. wrote down what showed up on my screen each time.
9 came in as spam likely. one came in with no name at all which I guess counts as a pass. two showed our company name correctly.
our dialer's number health dashboard says the pool is in the green. all 12 numbers. green.
I do not know what to do with this. like operationally I do not know what to do with it. I brought it to my manager and he said he would ask the vendor. the vendor said the dashboard is accurate and what shows on my personal phone is "device-level filtering" and not something they can control. which, sure, maybe. but my prospects also have devices? so what is the dashboard actually telling me?
anyway I am not asking for a fix. I do not think there is one I can implement from my seat. I just want to know if anyone else has actually tested this. like literally picked up your own phone and called yourself from your work dialer. because I think a lot of us are looking at green dashboards while every call we make is getting labeled before it rings.
and if you do try it please report back. I am sitting here with a spreadsheet and feeling slightly insane.
