Put on a waitlist after being accepted - Fleming College Peterborough campus

Not sure why but the college put me on a waitlist. I accepted the offer and there was no mention of a waitlist. There is another program that would start in January but it had a waitlist. So I chose the September program. Paid $250 non refundable fee that would be applied to the tuition fees. Today I got an email saying I'm on the waitlist. Is this God's sign or what?

Hearing mixed stuff about nursing demand, please help

I am going to be studying RPN from September under the Ontario Learn and Stay program. However, I am hearing from people that the demand for Nurses is dropping due to budget cuts and over hiring post pandemic. I'm coming from IT and this happened to the sector. Could someone provide me with the industry news and a reliable source? I'm stressed out whether I'm making the right decision.

Laid Off since May 2025 with zero interviews and prospects - difficult to keep my sanity

I am a white collar worker and I will tell you I am not built for blue collar. I would say I am too nice/kind to survive blue collar industry. There, I got it off my chest.

I have had 14 years of experience in IT, therefore, I am finding it difficult to go elsewhere. Reached out and exhausted all my network options. I have been a Business Systems Analyst. I absolutely don't see myself getting back in the field. Not because I don't want to, I really do, but the market is not helping me. 8/10 years ago it was not like this. I don't even know what to study as anything in IT gets irrelevant in 6 to 12 months (you can provide your constructive feedback and advice regarding this).

Currently, I am doing AZ trucking lessons paid by Better Jobs Ontario. I have a lot of respect for truckers. I don't see myself doing this and I requested the ministry to cancel this when I just started driving. They said they won't be able to get the money back from the school and want me to finish the program. I am driving an automatic truck but the amount of stress I am dealing with is insane plus my instructor is hardcore blue collar guy and makes me even more nervous. And no, I do have a full driving license for driving cars and motorcycles, its just I am not built for driving a massive vehicle.

Please pardon me for being a snowflake, I am far from one. I have been doing pest control work as a sub for another local company. It is not enough. I graduated university in Economics in 2010 and because of my co-op work term placements, was able to move on to IT. During pandemic, I was able to get Construction Engineering Technician Diploma from George Brown College in the hopes of getting into the industry as Building Science Specialist. Despite having great grades and professor referrals, still could not land a job in that field.

I am a compassionate person with huge interest in fitness and nutrition. I have been admitted to RPN program at Fleming College Peterborough. I feel like the healthcare could be something I could survive for a long term. I am starting in September, meanwhile, I am trying everything to get myself back to the corporate field or Building Science or get hired by Canadian Forces.

I know corporate field is toxic but believe me blue collar is no different and at least your health is okay and you can be present when you are home. When I get home after driving that massive truck, I blank out. I have no energy left. Everyone is different. Again huge respect for truckers.

I applied to Canadian Forces and they are conducting reference checks.

Due to all of these concerns/issues, I have completely given up on having my own family.

Is there any feedback/advice I should do? I am more than happy to move elsewhere. I speak English and Russian.

Gen 1 Fz09 owner here

Hey guys, I have had my 2014 Fz09 since September of 2024. I love this bike and it reminds me of my wr250x. Essentially it's kind of a supermoto to me. Mine came with many mods and I'm content with these mods. Anyway, are there any small after market fairings I could install and put some decals on them? I would like to put my Instagram handle on them. Here are some pics.

RPN from September

Hi all, I will be starting the RPN program at Fleming college in Peterborough. I am a Lindsay resident. I am trying to do the program under the Learn and Stay program. I wanted to do RN but figured it might be better to start off with RPN, gain experience and proceed to RN in the future. Any advice/tips/suggestions? I used to be very smart in high school, and took all math and science courses. However, I want to prepare myself for the study load. Can I work part time while I'm taking RPN? Thank you in advance.

A year of unemployment update. Been juggling life. Can someone look into what I am doing and advise?

I am a senior Business Systems Analyst who has been unemployed (in my field) for a year now. Technically, I am the guy who AI cannot replace due to my outgoing personality, asking important and relevant questions and ability to diagnose/understand stakeholders' attitudes. I am also a public speaker. 600+ applications tuned to every single job including non IT/BSA jobs. Zero calls, zero interviews. I am from Ontario, Canada.

I do pest control on the side and it pays some bills while I use a bit of savings every month. I got Better Jobs Ontario to pay for AZ but the trucking school has scheduling all over the place. I am considering going back to school in September for Nursing or Medical Radiation Technologist. I know Nursing can be stressful but I will take it. I am a homeowner and need to keep my house. I enjoy Pest Control and I will do more on it as I have Structural and Landscape certifications. However, I need some sort of secure employment first. I even have a college diploma in Construction Engineering Technology and I network with Building Science companies. No jobs there either. I am mentally exhausted and drained.
