No, Donna. You're right. I'm the muffin!

No other person on Earth could have delivered this line while still making it so heart-breaking. Anyone else would have been laughable. Sheryl Lee is the one!

I know this is from the Missing Pieces, but it's still so good. 🧁🥧

My signed copy of The Secret History. 🦉

My copy of The Secret History of Twin Peaks signed by Mark Frost. 💙 I got it from Book Soup a little while back.

It's sure something special.

adding water to stock as it simmers

I like to cook stock to make homemade ramen and soups. It's one of my favorite things to do, but I'm still getting the hang of the whole process. One thing I've noticed is that as I cook the stock, the water goes down. By the time it's done cooking there's a lot less water than I'd started with, and therefore less stock. I've mitigated this by topping off the stock with water a few times throughout the cooking process. This makes more stock, but I'm worried if it lessens the quality of the overall stock. Should I keep doing this or am I making lower quality stock with this method?

I've said stock way too many times lol

Just starting out. Who wants to join me?

おはようございます! I'm wondering if anyone would like to learn Japanese with me? I'm just starting out, but I would really like to have someone to talk to and learn with. I would actually prefer another English speaker who is either at my level or a little more skilled, but I wouldn't say no to a native Japanese speaker either, especially if you wanted to learn English, of which I like to believe I'm good at speaking. :)

I'm very into anime, horror movies/stories, animals, literature, video games, and writing, if that sweetens the pot. I'd like to have conversations with whoever I talk to so it helps if we have a few things in common. We can chat on discord (preferably) and help each other learn, and perhaps eventually we could even voice chat to help with pronunciation. I'd love to visit Japan someday, so I would truly love to have someone to practice with.

What are some terms of affection/phrases you use for your pets?

Soy nuevo en el español. Tengo gatos y quiero hablarles en español.

What are some terms of affection or phrases you use for your pets that are exclusive to Spanish? Or at least are common in Spanish? They can be cute or as silly as you want. :)

Also, would it be weird to say "te amo" to my cats? Should I only say "te quiero"? Gracias!
