I feel like Aunt Lydia is not as strong a character in The Testaments.

I was so excited to see the continuation of her character growth and her fighting against the men, but I feel like she was just kinda… wasted. Like a figurehead without really doing much.

I also felt like it was very heavily implied in the first season that Aunt Lydia strongly believed in Gilead’s cause and was in deep denial because of her strong beliefs. I felt like playing out her flashbacks as her not really being a believer but just faking to survive, wasn’t the best direction to take. I feel like Dowd didn’t feel it fit her character either because her acting in those scenes seemed off.

I’m interested in how others feel about it. I loved how her character was written in Handmaid’s Tale so maybe I just went into Testaments expecting too much?

Good hiking trails and tips for taking a toddler

I’m looking to start getting our toddler into some hiking. She’ll be 2 in October. She’s very adventurous so I think she’d love going hiking. Do y’all have any tips for toddler hiking? What are some good trails for them to start on? We are willing to drive out a ways.
