For context I’m a 25F and I’m currently in a healthy relationship with a man for about 6 months now who I do love BUT in 2023 I fell in love with a Australian man while I was on holiday there (I was single). Once we met we spent every day together or if he was at work he’d come over after just to spend time together and nothing ever happened except for kissing the whole month I was there. Once I left we tried to make it work but the distance really tore me apart mentally so like a child I would end it and want him within 72 hours. I’m not proud of it and after the last time we ended things we decided to go no contact unless I am back in Australia. It’s now 2026 and I still feel the longing for him my now partner is aware of my feelings and understands them with his own similar feelings. We are happy but I’m not sure if it’s a the feeling of what could have been or if I need to just drop everything and follow the path to Australia.
I’ve done a lot of mental growing throughout the years and I just can’t shake the feeling I need to go back.. what should I do? (I’m sorry if this sounds scattered this is my first post and have never been good with writing)
